Entering is easy. Just go to  http://www.infohio.org/PassItOn, complete a short entry form, and click ‘Submit to INFOhio’.

All accepted entries will be featured on INFOhio’s web page and entered in the drawing for an iPad 2. They can enter as often as they like as long as each entry gives a different example.

One Ohio student and one Ohio school staff member will win. The contest runs April 15 – May 15, and the drawing will take place on May 16.

Science Online has definitions, essays, and experiments, and videos to bring awareness to Earth Day.  Click on the Environmental Science link under Browse Subjects and you are presented with a list of topics. This is where you can find the following answers-

What is the Clean Air act?  What is the Clean Water Act?  What is the Endangered Species Act?  By clicking on the Experiments link under Environmental Science Resources, 87 experiments are listed and can be narrowed further by grade range. If you narrow your experiment search to grades 6-8, you can find an experiment called “How Environment-Friendly is your home?”  By going from room to room, students can complete a Household Environmental Profile Chart.

Newbank’s main page has a Special Report called “World Environment.”  Environmental issues across the world, including the recent nuclear crisis in Japan, are featured. By scrolling down to the bottom of the features, you can also find a link to “Environment for Early Readers.”
